When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

If you have been going to your Dentist on a regular basis, you have probably been being encouraged to brush and floss these areas, so they are probably small. Our diagnostic lasers and digital x-rays allow us to catch decay at a much earlier stage, allowing for a more conservative repair. If you are not a regular, then the decay may be more extensive. While the silver filling is still a fully acceptable and safe material, there are new materials that offer distinct advantages. The costs that you describe are a good value for either filling material and any size of tooth defect.

Ask to see the spots on the x-rays so you can judge .. just remember that the decay will only expand, left unattended. Pain is usually a tooth''''s last desperate call for help .. waiting holds no real benefit. So get the cavities repaired!

Thank you for your question. Quoteing fees for dental work can be challenging. Every tooth has 5 surfaces and each surface is billed out seperatly. I would have to know the tooth number and amount of surfaces to give you a fair quote. If you email me back with that information I would be happy to let you know. We also only do composite(clear) fillings. Good luck.

With out know the exact surfaces it is hard to tell, but it seems in line with current fees. As we age the nooks and cranies have bacteria and food become lodged in them with cavities developing over the years. We use a Diagnodent Lazer to find these as soon as possible to keep the cost adn destruction to a minimum.

A copy of your treatemnt plan would be helpful.

Thanks
