When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hello. Since this tooth had a root canal on it previously, you will need to see a general dentist to determine it's restorability. If at least 4mm of "crown" remains, a post could be placed into the canal and restore it with a crown. If it has broken or decayed below the gum tissue, or if the root is fractured, the tooth may not be restorable. There are many ways of replacing this tooth, however, that decision will ultimately depend on the health and strength of the remaining tooth structure. Additionally, even if the remaining structure is usable, the previously treated root canal needs to be evaluated for the need for possible retreatment before possible envasive bacterial colonies would be entrapped with a post. All must be treated as sterile as possible. If we can assist you, please call 436-4433. Your missing tooth space can be filled in temporarily with ease. Either a ribond composite bridge or a flipper (retainer with tooth) could be placed quickly. Regards, Dr. Shelley Shults
